Meta’s New and Exciting AI Announcement 📢

Meta AI creating BuilderBot

Earlier today, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg released a new AI prototype they are working on. In discussion of the new creation, he stated “Meta AI is working on a tool called BuilderBot that lets you create virtual worlds by describing them with your voice”. In the video released, you can see two legless avatar characters (one being Zuckerberg) creating a 3D beach setting using their voices. By simply stating what you want to appear, you can create a virtual surrounding.

This voice-powered bot highlights Meta’s shift as a big player in the virtual world. Zuckerberg has made Meta’s involvement in the creation of the metaverse no secret, and they are not messing around. Meta’s social media platforms have been hard at work releasing new features to assist the shift. 

By making this progressive shift in the direction of a metaverse, it makes it a more manageable transition to wrap your head around. Currently, it seems the development of it is in the early stages from the half body avatars, low resolution, and delayed timing, however, it makes their intentions clear.
